Ludovic CHORIGNON from Défi 41
Introduction
Some things cannot be judged in a single outing.
Even less so in a single photo or a well-turned promise.
When an athlete accustomed to ultras, unstable terrain, and long hours on their feet agrees to test our insoles for over a month, on roads, in the mountains, in wet and dry conditions, we listen. And we don't cut anything.
Here is the complete, unfiltered feedback from a real-life test.
The context of the test
Ludovic CHORIGNON, Défi 41 athlete, experienced ultra-trailer, with double stage 5 discopathy.
A demanding profile, attentive to his sensations, not easily swayed by trends.
Test objective:
to wear the insoles daily and in extreme conditions, without changing his training habits or equipment.
First impressions: unsettling, then natural
The first few minutes are surprising.
Proprioception changes, foot placement is different, the flexibility of the insole can give an impression of instability.
Then, very quickly, the body adapts.
After about thirty minutes, the sensations fade. The foot works, naturally.
In the city, during long periods of standing, fatigue seems less pronounced.
Back pains do not disappear – and this point is important – but the discomfort is less intense.
No miracle. Just a feeling.
The real test: mountain ultra
84 km, technical terrain, elevation gain, humidity, accumulated fatigue.
The insoles are integrated into trail shoes, with no particular break-in period.
The first few kilometers bring back old habits: vigilance, attention to rubbing, potential slipping.
Then comes oblivion.
The foot doesn't slip.
The insole stays in place.
Impacts are better absorbed.
Upon arrival, a simple observation:
fewer micro-pains related to impacts, no blisters, no product deformation.
Over time: consistency and reliability
After several weeks:
– wearing in the city
– short training sessions
– 42 km trails
– wet conditions, river crossings, heat
The insoles hold up.
They don't come unstuck, don't deform, don't become slippery.
They adapt equally well to sports shoes and city shoes, thanks to the two available sizes.
The key point: what these insoles do... and don't do
Let's be clear.
These insoles do not cure a pathology.
They do not replace medical follow-up, postural work, or adapted strengthening.
However, they:
– increase comfort
– reduce certain indirect tensions
– improve impact management
– make long periods of standing and descents more pleasant
And for an athlete or an active person, that's already a lot.
Conclusion
This feedback is not a sales pitch.
It is the testimony of a demanding user, accustomed to testing, comparing, and analyzing.
No unrealistic promises.
No magical transformation.
But real, measurable, lasting comfort.
Sometimes, progress isn't spectacular.
It's simply reliable. And that's often what matters most.
